A Letter to Me from My Dad

Dear Stephanie,

I remember how proud I was when you were born.  I took you into my arms over to Bishop Shurtleff's house who was he bishop of the Ogden 31st ward and showed you off.  Now that you're 9 years old.  I am just as proud of you if not more so.  You are very intelligent.  You can read better than anyone in your class.  You are a very beautiful child.  Steph, you should never be concerned about other children calling you names or being mean..  You need to know that you are a much better person than they are because you have respect for others and they still need to learn that principle.  Be sure that I love you very much.  You are my only daughter and I want the best for you that life has to offer./  Also be sure that God loves you too.  His church is true and you must go to church to stay close to him.

I Love you,
Dad

A Letter to Me From My Mother

Dear Stephanie,

You are very special to me.  I'm glad that God sent you to be my daughter.  You are a beautiful girl.  You are very smart.  I 'm proud of your grade in school.  I love you very much.  I enjoy spending time with you and doing things with you.  You are very talented.  You sing and dance very well.  I hope you will always consider me as being one of your best friends.  You can always come to me with any problem and I will help you work through it.  Always remember you are a child of God and God loves you.  Stay close to our church and our church values.  Our family has one goal and that is to get back to live with Heavenly Father as an Eternal Family.  I appreciate all the things you do for me, like picking up toys and cleaning your room.  I don't want to ever forget how special you are and how much I love you.

Love,
Mom.
