Port Canaveral

We took the Carnival shuttle from the Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral to get on the Carnival Mardi Gras.  This was my first time sailing from Port Canaveral and cruise terminal was awesome.  Only had to take one elevator up to the third floor to check in and get on the ship.  We were in port with the Carnival Freedom, Disney Fantasy.  As we were sailing away, I saw a brown sea turtle come up for air, which was really cool.  We went to the Muster Station when we got on the ship and their new program for it only took a minute.  So easy!  We went to our cabin on deck 12 and dropped off our bags.  We went up to Lido and had lunch.  I sat on our balcony listening to my ipod during the sail away.  I decorated my door with Masks and Mickeys.  I ate dinner at Guy's Burgers.  I went and explored the promenade and it is is huge!  I went to Grand Central and watched the Activate the Fun,  Meet the Cruise Director, and Viva Variety.  This was our third cruise with Lee Mason as a cruise director and he has been wonderful every time.  The playlist production show was Rock Revolution, a tribute to the 60's and Woodstock.

Old Testament Reading List

This year in Gospel Doctrine, we studied the Old Testament.  Here are the books I read that helped me understand it better:

  • A Companion To Your Study Of The Old Testament by Daniel H. Ludlow
  • Old Testament Legends: Being stories out of some of the less-known apocryphal books of the Old Testament by M.R. James
  • Women of Genesis by Orson Scott Card
  • Women of the Old Testament by Camille Fronk Olson
  • Written in Our Hearts by Emily Freeman
