Layton

We drove up to Layton after dinner tonight and drove around the old neighborhood where I grew up.  It was so weird, because it has changed so much.  They are building more houses higher and higher up the mountain and are making the Highway into a Freeway.

We also drove past the new LDS Layton Temple they are building.  It will be a blessing for the city.

Hello Summer

I bought this wall art at a thrift store.  I thought is was so cute.'

The Sound of Music

I went with my mom, my sister-in-law, and my niece to see The Sound of Music.  It was at the Syracuse Arts Academy Ampitheatre and it was put on by the Hopebox Theater.  Damon Yauney, the meterologist for Fox 13, played the Captain in this production.

Seaquest Aquarium

We went to the Seaquest Aquarium at the Layton Mall.  We got to feed sharks, stingrays.  My niece and nephews did the Hurricane Simulator.  They have a fish manicure tank and they all tried it.

Syracuse Heritage Days

On Friday, I went to the Carnival in Syracuse last night.  On the stage, they were having a magic show.  I bought Mom some kettle corn and boba drink.  They had vendor booths, inflatable slides, and food trucks.  On Saturday, I watched the fireworks.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads in my life! I remember in my ward, growing up, the moms would receive flowers or candy on Mother's Day and the dads would receive a pamphlet on how to be a better dad on Father's Day.

Syracuse Temple Groundbreaking

We got to watch the groundbreaking for the Syracuse Utah Temple.  It's amazing that temple is being built so close to us.  When i was growing up, we only had the Ogden and Salt Lake Temples around us.  Now we have Bounitful, Layton, and Syracuse.
