Twilight

I went and saw Twilight this afternoon. I thought it was pretty great. I wasn't disappointed. I thought Kristen (Bella) and Robert (Edward) had a lot of chemistry on screen. I thought they stuck to the book storyline pretty well. I thought it was funny, scary, and romantic. I can't wait for the next one.

Family Matters

Dad got home from D.C. early Yesterday morning. Yesterday afternoon, My Mom and I went to Kelsey Cox's bridal shower. She is marrying my cousin Andrew Nielsen on my Dad's side of the family. It was a Kitchen/Bedroom shower, so we got her a crock pot and some measuring cups and spoons. We had good time. After the shower, we went and ate at the Burger Bar in Roy. Meanwhile, Dad went to Andrew's party at the Chuck-A-Rama at the same time. He got him some drill bits as a present. Since we will be on our cruise on their wedding day, it was nice to see them and give them a gift.

Happy Birthday to Me

Today I turned 27 years old. For lunch, I went with my Mom to Red Lobster and then she bought me a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory as a birthday cake. Yummy. I also got the Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection on DVD. It's 14 of his greatest movies. I look forward to watching the ones I haven't seen. My Dad is in Washington D.C. for business and my brother is living in California, but they both called me to wish me a happy birthday.

Along with the celebration, my birthdays are bittersweet, because the day is shared with the death of my Grandpa Wayment, who died at the age of 80 on my 11th birthday. I can't believe he has been gone 16 years. It seems like it wasn't that long ago. As I get older, it seems the years go faster.

A Change Will Do U.S. Good

I early voted a couple of weeks ago. Voting only took 10 minutes last night. It was better than waiting in line for an hour at the golf course last time. I rooted for Barack Obama throughout the entire campaign. I am so glad he won. Tuesday was truly a historic and wonderful day for America. After Obama's time as President is up, maybe there can finally be a woman as president (Hopefully not Sarah Palin though. LOL.)

This clip from The View sums it all up:
