On Tuesday, we drove to Cascade Locks, Oregon. We stopped in Baker City and lunch in Pendleton. There were a ton of fires burning. We stayed at the KOA. We saw Multnomah Falls and a deer as we were driving to Portland. We went to the Riverplace and ate dinner at Newport Seafood Grill. I got tiger prawns and fries. While we were eating on the floating dock, dragon boats kept sailing past us. We walked around the Columbia River. We were kept awake all night by train whistles.
On Wednesday, we drove to Lincoln City, Oregon through Salem. We stayed at the KOA in Otis. We drove around Lincoln City and ate dinner at Otis Cafe. I got a salad, clam chowder, black molasses bread, and marionberry pie. We went to the Old Navy at the Tanger Outlets.
On Thursday, we drove down the coast from Lincoln to Newport, We stopped in Boiler Bay, Cape Foulweather and then the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and intrepretive center. There was a falcon's nest by the museum. We drove to the Historic Bayfront in Newport. We saw a sea lion on the rocks. We ate lunch at Mo's Annex, with a bay view. I had clam chowder, shrimp skewers, mashed red potatoes, and marionberry cobbler. I read the books, My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick and Save Me by Lisa Scottoline.
On Friday, I read the book, Paris Wife by Paula McClain. We drove up the coast from Lincoln to Tillamook. We went to an antique mall and saw the totem poles in Lincoln. We saw the rocks in Pacific City. We stopped at Anderson's view point and saw the rocks at Oceanside. We went to the Tillamook Cheese factory and got samples of cheese, fudge, and some ice cream. We ate lunch at McDonald's. We drove past the air museum. We went to Driftwood Beach in Lincoln, before going to Humble Pie Pizzeria for dinner.
On Saturday, we drove back to Cascade Locks. We went to Multnomah Falls and saw the waterfall and the lodge. We drove to Portland and ate the Old Spaghetti Factory. We drove around the City Center and Restaurant Row. We went to the Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets and I bought some books at Book Warehouse. I went into the KOA Gift shop and bought an Oregon Pin. Dad made us Smores. I read the book, The Ruining. We were kept awake all night by train whistles.
Today, we drove home. We stopped in Burley to visit my aunt and uncle and they fed us lunch.
