Today was a busy day for us. I had
to get up at 6:40 AM. I had to bake a breakfast casserole made of
sausage, tater tots, eggs, sour cream, milk, cheddar cheese, onions, and
peppers. While the casserole was baking, I went and took pictures of the beautiful sunrise over the mountains.
We
went over to the church for our Christmas Breakfast. We had breakfast of casserole, donuts,
muffins, and fruit. Then we had a
Christmas program. Our table of 10 was
assigned to sing the “Three French Hens” as a group sing along to 12 Day of
Christmas. Someone at our table insisted
we sing it as “Three French Fries,” which was pretty fun. They had children sing
a couple of Christmas songs around a piano.
We all had to bring a pair of white socks for a homeless shelter and we
had a snowball fight with the socks.
We went to a Chinese restaurant called the Mandarin with Grandpa’s three siblings, because his oldest sister was visiting from Texas. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. We went to my uncle’s new house and he gave us a tour. My aunt made us a peppermint ice cream dessert. We brought them the fudge we had made as a Christmas gift.
