West Yellowstone

On Monday, we drove up to West Yellowstone, Montana.  We stayed at the Rustic Wagon RV Park in town.  We ate dinner at the Beartooth Barbecue.  We walked around the shops.

On, Tuesday,  We went into the Yellowstone park through the west entrance.  There was a lot of road construction.  We saw bison and deer.  We stopped at Mammoth Hot Springs and had huckleberry ice cream.  We hiked up to Tower Falls.  We ate pizza at the Gusher in West Yellowstone.

On Wednesday, we went shopping and I bought my niece Neve a moose onesie.  We went into the museum and watched a video on the Earthquake of 1959.  We went and saw a live production of Les Miserables at the Playmill Theatre.  We got fudge, a water bottle, and a program.

On Thursday,  We drove past Hebgen Lake, the lake that tilted in the Earthquake.  We drove past Quake Lake and saw all the trees in the lake.  We drove to Virginia City and walked around.  I got some peach cobbler ice cream at the Creamery.  We ate lunch at the Ennis Cafe.  We walked around the shops in West Yellowstone and got some fudge.  There was a lot of rain that night.

On Friday, we drove home.  We went past Bear World and saw Elk and Bison.

Ogden Temple

We went to the open house of the Ogden Temple today.  They first had us watch a ten minute video on the importance of temples.  A temple usher pushed Mom through the temple as we followed them.  It was a lovely tour.
