Mother's Day

We brought Daisy to the vet in West Haven on Monday to be declawed.  She had to stay overnight for observation. She also had a blood test to make sure she didn't have any diseases or illness which could affect Shadow.  While she was gone, we bought her a water bowl, some paper litter, and some pee pads at Petsmart.  We picked Daisy up on Tuesday afternoon.   Her blood work was normal.  Her paws look horrible, covered in blood and iodine. She is favoring her left front paw.  I have to give her antibiotic drops and a syringe of pain medication orally. She seems really out of it on her medication, not meowing as much.  She is sleeping through the night, which is good for Dad, not waking him up as much.  Shadow comes down and stares at her through the door and smells her stuff.  He hasn't hissed at her this week.

On Thursday, Mom and Dad went to her MS Support Group in Centerville. Before the meeting, they went to Blaine Jensen RV to look at RVs.  They went to the Chuck-A-Rama after the meeting for dinner.

On Saturday, Mom and Dad went and looked at an RV and ended up buying it.  It's a Challenger with a king size bed in the bedroom, a shower, a toilet room, 2 recliners, a couch bed, 2 pullouts, and lots of storage space.  They are planning on selling the tent trailer and his truck and buying a better truck to pull it with.

For Mother's Day, I got mom a Beatles Love T-Shirt and some Disney plush dolls.  Dad got her a Kohl's gift card.  I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast, barbecue chicken for dinner, and Molten lava cakes for dessert.  Dad had to teach the thirteen year olds as a substitute during Sunday School.

I finished reading the books, Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane and  A Scent of Danger by Autumn Dawn. We watched the movies, Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011), We Bought a Zoo (2011), and The Way (2010).
