Last Saturday, my brother Ryan hurt his shoulder while he was snowboarding because he smacked it against the half pipe. Ryan went to see the sports doctor for his hurt shoulder on Thursday. The doctor told him, he has a calcium buildup in his shoulder from a previous fracture. Ryan went to see the orthopedic surgeon on Friday for a second opinion. The surgeon told him it was broken and a piece of the bone was hanging off. He has to go back next week to see if the bone has moved or not. If it hasn't, he has to have surgery. Poor kid!
Mom bought some shamrocks to make into earrings and a flower to make into a necklace. Shadow kept trying to steal her shamrocks by knocking them off the table with his paws. Mom had her first appointment on Wednesday with her therapist, to deal with her anxiety and depression. On Thursday, Mom started getting hives on her back again and had me rub Hydro-cortisone cream on it. On Sunday, Mom had a migraine and kept throwing up.
I let Shadow outside in the front twice and had to chase him through the rose bushes to get him to come inside. When Dad tried to go down to the basement on Wednesday, Shadow followed him down the stairs, biting his ankles. When Dad shut the door, Shadow went and meowed at the back door and dug his paws up the wall. On Friday, I woke up this morning to find Shadow sitting in my bathtub, a rare occurrence. Dad was in his office working on his computer. Shadow went into his office and knocked over his garbage can and shut the door with his paws, locking him and dad in his office.
Technology has been frustrating this week. On Wednesday, I had problems with my DVR. When I tried to play a recorded program in my room, all I would get was black screen. If I tried to play it in the family room, it would worked just fine. Dad told me to unplug in and plug it back in after a few minutes, and that seemed to work. On Thursday, Mom tried to call Ryan, but somehow messed up the phone. Our home phone wouldn't let us call anyone and was forwarding calls to my dad's cell phone. Our TV also kept having blackouts. When Dad came home, he forwarded all the calls from our regular line to the magic jack line, so people can still call us on our old number. I also have been having battery problems with my ipod classic again. It is 5 years old, so maybe it's time to replace it.
It was sad to hear that Whitney Houston has passed away on Saturday. She had such an amazing voice. I've been a fan since I was in Junior High.
I watched the movies, A Passage to India and Cowboys & Aliens. I finished reading The Chamber by John Grisham, a book one of my professors at WSU recommended.
