Injuries, Salt Lake, and Shopping

On Monday, Shadow jumped down in the window sill again and then jumped back up. Our visiting teachers came over to visit. Mom made a necklace with purple beads.

On Tuesday, we watched the movie, Arthur. Mom and I went Michael's and she bought some more beads. When we went into Target, a lady spilled a bunch of bags of cups all over and one landed in my mom's lap. Mom bought me a couple of CDs for my birthday and a strawberry pendant necklace. Then when we were going out, the automatic door hit into my mom's right knee and her scooter. We went to Kneader's for lunch. When I was getting the mail and came back to the car, my salad box hit mom on her sore knee. Shadow also chased mom and made her hit her sore knee into the coffee table.

On Wednesday, I organized my DVD shelves in my room. Mom made a tan and brown beaded necklace. I finished reading Seeing Redd, the second book in the Looking Glass Wars series by Frank Beddor. After dinner, we went and got shakes at Iceberg.

When I went into the restroom, someone had gone to the bathroom all over the floor of the handicap stall, so when I got back to the table, I told the waiter, the stall needed cleaning. After dinner, we walked around the Gateway Mall. I hadn't been to the Gateway in about 6 years. There was a NuSkin conference at the ESA and so they were lot of Japanese tourists at the mall and walking across the street. We also went past Pioneer Park and saw all the "Occupy Wall Street" protesters and their tents.

I finished reading Sarah's Key by Tatianna De Rosnay, which is about the holocaust, set in past and present France. It's about a Jewish girl who tries to protect her little brother by locking him in a cupboard when the police come to get her and her parents, and she promises to return for him. It's really sad.

On Sunday, I finished reading Ozma of Oz, the third book in the Oz series by L. Frank Baum on my ipod touch. Mom made a necklace with green beads. I made a Mexican Lasagna for dinner, based on El Torito's recipe. I didn't realize that Dad had bought "Picante Hot" Green Chili Enchilada sauce instead of "Mild," so the lasagna was very spicy.
