Poetry Readings and Birthdays

My parents and I have been taking a Genealogy class for Sunday School, learning how to use the Church's websites.

On Monday, we went and got Grandpa some new slacks for his Birthday. We had a barbecue in our backyard on Friday night.

On Tuesday, a poet named Robert Dana, whose book Morning of the Red Admirals, I have been studying for class, came and talked at Weber State during my class and that same night at the Stewart Library. It was cool to get some insight on why he wrote certain poems in the book.

On Wednesday. I had to go to the dentist for a cleaning.

Wind Storms, Spills, and School

On Wednesday, we got a letter from Ryan. He say that is was awesome to serve a mission in place where there are hurricanes.

In school, we have been creating databases in Microsoft Access. My poetry teacher was ten minutes late to class on Thursday and he left for 5 minutes to talk on his cell phone.

While we were at Sonic, their hose kept squirting Mom everytime she rolled her window down. When we were at Jamba Juice, she tipped her cup sideways and it spilled on her shirt.

On Saturday, Mom and I went and mailed Ryan a package of goodies.

The last couple of days have been very windy. Patches won't go outside because she hates the wind. When she goes out in the wind, she ducks and curls her ears.

Fall Semester Begins

On Tuesday, fall semester started. My classes are Introduction to Poetry and Microcomputer Applications. I will only have to write 2 poems for this semester. We had to window shop for computets on the Internet and compare them.

On Friday we went to the mall.

On Saturday, we went to SLC and my parents bought a red leather couch for the front room.

On Sunday, as we were leaving for Church, Mom couldn't find her keys. Dad kept asking her, where she left them.

On Monday, Mom found her keys in Dad's coat pocket. LOL. We took the black couch and an old stereo system to the D.I.

On Tuesday, I woke up with a sore throat. Mom had to go see the doctor so she drove me to school. We got an email from Ryan saying Hurricane Frances hit his area, but he is okay. He said, "It's one of the coolest things I've ever experienced." He also recorded it and will be sending us the tape.
