Visits and Getting Ready for Back to School

On Saturday, Mom got sick when we went through the car wash. We went to a Chinese restaurant and then visited Grandma and Grandpa Sandberg. Grandpa is trying to sell his truck and an old dryer. Grandma is working on a new puzzle book. On Sunday, a man who had been a P.O.W. for seven years during World War II spoke at church. His talk was pretty interesting. I went and got a haircut this morning. Then we went to the mall and the strap on my purse broke while I was walking, so I had to go get a new purse.

Hurricanes and Videos

Last week, Ryan wrote us and told us the Hurricane went around Gainesville, so it missed him. He had to the Red Cross and the recreation center at the University of Florida to sleep. On Saturday, we went and looked for a new love seat for the front room. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Sandberg came over for dinner. We showed them Ryan's mission video he had sent us. They thought he looked like he was having fun.
On Monday, Mom bought a portable DVD Player to take with us on the plane to Florida when we go on our cruise. On Thursday, Dad had go on a one night business trip.

Spirit Lake

We spent two nights camping up at Spirit Lake in the Uintahs this week. My family went with my aunt Susan's family. I spent most of the time we were up there, reading and walking around. Dad likes to make Dutch oven cobbler and potatoes. When we went to the Lodge, we ran into our neighbor Torch and his family. When we came home, we learned that Hurricane Charley had hit Florida. We haven't heard anything from Ryan yet, so hopefully, he is okay.
